I did not know about Zarkov's Cripes Mustang

I was asked to do the same one, so thats what I did.

But thats okay...mine is better.
There is not supposed to be any lower venting holes on the engine cowling.

phew! this was a long stretch!
finally, some new 'Stangs!

First up, another Iwo Mustang!
Ed Linfante's "Shanghai Lil" of the 462nd.

Take note of the wing markings, exclusive to this squadron of aircraft.
The black stripes are aiming marks for dive bombing.
P51s were not equipped with air brakes like Apache A36s, so a method
of banked diving attacks was devised for dive bombing.

Ed Linfante's Shanghai Lil is available at papermodelshop.com and ecardmodels.com

...

second up, is

Major Bill Shomos famous "Flying Undertaker"
Quite a unique paint scheme on this one, apparently to take advantage of photo ops.

same again, get the model at papermodelshop.com and ecardmodels.com

Another New Release!...Lil Bunyep P-51D

I'm not sure about the odd name on this Mustang...haven't looked into that yet.
But I came across a photo of this plane during research for another model
and I was not only curious about the interesting paint scheme
...it borrows a style from the Blue Nosers, only its a yellow painted nose that doesn't
quite cover the antiglare paintwork

...but its also the first plane I have come across that carries mission markings from both WW2 theaters.

The pilot, Capt Lucius LaCroix had previously served in the 5th AF flying P-40s against the Japanese
and was now serving in Europe with the 8th flying P-51s.

The model is available at papermodelshop.com
and here at ecardmodels.com http://ecardmodels.com/north-american-mustang-bunyep-paper-model-p-2867.html?osCsid=29b8bea69d5915c3a390a0a489eed4dc

Yokohama Yardbird
This P51 flown by Charles Older of the famed Flying Tiger Squadron.

Heres an interesting addition to my line of Mustangs,
this one another member's request...

112 Squadron RAF - The Shark Squadron

Somewhat rare variation on the standard RAF camouflage
with the cool addition of Sharkmouth artwork.

As usual, get it through papermodelshop.com
and here, at ecardmodels.com: http://ecardmodels.com/north-american-kh774-shark-squadron-paper-model-p-2891.html?osCsid=68dfc441abc086a32458844489505021

This is an older release (that I forgot to post)...
another RCAF Mustang Mk.IV
420 Squadron City of London

And I decided to build this one to display at the upcoming IPMS London Model Show.
Heres a few shots so far:

I don't like the antiglare cowling paint...
seems I carried over the cowling paint from a previous model
and I think I should have adjusted the antiglare paint
This aircraft should have a narrower antiglare strip.

I will be making an adjustment to this model.

I imagine this will be a model that draws a lot of attention at the show.

So will the Autocar
There are no strangers in this world ...
Only people I haven't embarrassed ... yet
