Still working on Tutors...but sneaking a new Mustang in here!

This was a suggestion by a customer/friend, a restored and flying Mustang
that happens to be an ex-RCAF Mustang too!
She is a D model, produced at the end of WW2 and later transferred to Canada.

After that, this Mustang had a very long and colourful career, owned by a number of civilian operators
and flown for pleasure, transport and as an air racer.
She even appeared in the 1969/70 film "Patton".

The aircraft is now re-restored and flying with the South African Air Force Museum.

Interesting that 44-74494 P51D Mustang Sally carries a different serial and ident:
P51K-5NT SERIAL NO. AAF 44-11661, for some unknown reason.
The original 44-11661 flew with the 334th FS, 4th FG, 8th AF in WW2 and crashed in Germany in 1945.
The Pilot survived the belly landing crash, only to be captured and finish the war as a POW.
The aircraft was completely destroyed by allied gunfire before it could fall into enemy hands.

Model is available now at www.papermodelshop.com
and at ecardmodels.com: http://www.ecardmodels.com/index.php/1-33-north-american-p-51d-mustang-saaf-museum-mustang-sally-paper-model.html
