Dear Paperiarians:
Is this the socalled bamboo ship? the model used in the old TV show Sky King?
Thanks,

It's outside the Canadian theme, but yes, this was the "bamboo bomber".

One note though. No one seems to know what color the airplane actually was so all we have is the B&W footage to go with.

Has anyone here actually built one of the LadNDad Cranes? I'm on my second attempt.

I did the SDK Repaints verion above, and I see that I should have built one before submitting it to Chris. The anti-glare panel is incorrect. Nothing lines up right, and it's too wide by the windscreen. I submitted a "corrected" version but haven't built it yet to see if it looks right.

My main issue with the model though, is the nose section. I'm not sure if the parts are too big, or I'm just building them wrong. My first attempt looks too fat, and my second is much too slim. Oh well, I'll try one more time, and see if the panel came out right at least.

This is the right thing to do...build it and submit any errors, complaints or modifications to Chris.
Feel free to post your reports and pics here...if you want.

Its all about making these models better, right?
Not every one is perfect, and sometimes we have to rely on the customer to point this out.
But every model should get at least one test build of the base model (by the designer).

And I think a repainter should also test build their first repaint.
Believe me, it also helps with the repaint...gives you a much better understanding of how
to apply and improve your repaint artwork.
