Now that is an interesting idea.
I have always loved Soap Box Derby, even if it is mainly an American thing.

I never experienced anything like it when i was a kid, here in Ontario,
although I did hear of Derbys.

Not sure if I care about a Canadian angle...
but that car (you posted) is very awesome.
the quintessential soap box racer I think.

Dear AirDave:
How about an airbrused theame and stickers of paper models over it? And how about sized to fit on a Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby Track? Though I would think that doing it in the Koolwheels style and one page size would be best, then any one can blow it up or down to suit there ideas. Stream of conciseness here make it plain white and the maker can past on his/her own signs and posters printed on thin paper. I could send you another Key chain as a bribe to put it on the Koolwheels design list.
Grin,
Miles

Well, I don't know about the"airbrushed theme"?
I already have a couple of models that represent my airbrush art.
I don't need them any more.
I'm not bothered about doing any new ones.

Stickers of paper models?
Not sure I understand this idea.
The size of the KoolWheelz models makes "stickers" a little difficult to see.

No "blank" models!!  lol

I have posted two or three KoolWheelz to-do lists, and I have a to-do folder on my PC,
and a "to-do list" hanging on my bulletin board...and they're all a little different! lol

But if I put them all together, I have more than thirty still to do KoolWheelz models!

so, I don't want any more!!!!!!!!!!
lol
Get back to me in a year or two.

...
Whats a Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby Track?

I think what Miles is suggesting is that 'shells' be designed that could fit over the Pinewood Derby vehicle.  These are carved wooden cars that go down a gravity track.  They line eight cars up, open the gate, and whichever car crosses the finish line first goes onto the next level.  They also gave awards for design.  My son was never a scout, but they did this same thing in wood shop.

Folks use cardstock shells on slot cars, on rc cars, on rc helicopters, but I'm not sure they would be allowed in competition.

No wheels, but how about the Cool Runnings Bobsled of the Jamaica Bobsled Team.  Okay, the movie was on this morning and I thought it might appeal to your whimsical side.  Honestly, to capture the shapes, I'm afraid it wouldn't fit the Koolwheelz criterion

yes...there is a small Canadian connection with Cool Runnings.
The great John Candy was the star.

but why would I care if it had anything to do with Canada?
lol
Canada got nothing to do with KoolWheelz.

no Bobsled paper models!! lol

I knew it was a long-shot, but I thought I would throw it out there

The only Pike's Peak car I might consider
is the Suzuki Escudo Pike's Peak version
from Gran Turismo 2.

I fell in love and mastered that game.
I think I was really quite good at it.
But I played for hours, just to get to the Toyota F1 Road race car
and the Suzuki Escudo Pike's Peak racer.
