I was recently at the Museum of the USAF in Dayton Ohio...we stopped in just to hit the Gift Store!
My Daughter decided to buy me a couple of those flattened Penny souvenirs.
These were USAF Museum souvenirs featuring various Aircraft images. She made me two coins with a P51 and an A10.

If you don't know the machine...you put a Penny in one of these machines and pick your subject.
Then you turn the crank and the machine flattens out the penny until it is a copper medallion
which is then stamped with a souvenir image and/or slogan. Yes, they all come out kind of wonky.

Anyway, she accidentally created an SR-71 coin on her first try and had to make another one.
I didn't mind, because I like the SR-71....so I thanked her for it, and suggested I give it away on the forum.
She agreed.

boy...are they hard to photograph!

So, if you are a fan of silly little Museum Souvenirs, or a fan of the SR-71, or just collect pointless things
that take up way too much space in your life and you can't stop...this is just for you!

Lets have some model fun...a little challenge...and I'll give this USAF Museum/SR-71 Souvenir to the "winner".
I'll even throw in a set of papermodelshop stickers, and I'll mail it all to you, anywhere in the world!

Yes, that means you will have to give me a mailing address.
Don't enter if you don't want to do that.

....
So, heres the Challenge...

Lets just have a straightforward KoolWheelz model challenge, since that doesn't require you to purchase anything.
Build any KoolWheelz model and then post a photo.
I will attempt a poll vote (if I can figure it out), or if there are too many entries, we can have a members vote.

Basic Rules (which I will amend if there are any conflicts or serious issues)
1. Any KoolWheelz model from the www.cutandfold.info website can be used. That gives you about 5 dozen to choose from!.
2. Any Modifications or kitbashing is acceptable...but ONLY using KoolWheelz models and parts.
3. More than one KoolWheelz model may be used in your entry...for example in a Diorama presentation.
4. Post up to a maximum of two photos per entry. If you don't post properly, I'll remove your entry.
4b. Maximum of two (separate) entries per person.  You can enter twice, but they must be separate posts/entries.
5. The Photos are everything. Make them interesting, unique, jawdropping. Since there is no way to really judge the quality of the model build
or your skill and precision, we will judge on photo presentation. In other words, even a badly built model could be presented in a winning way.
6. Models do not have to be recently built, but your photos must be new. So, previously built models already are acceptable, but you will
need to take fresh photos for your entries. (If I find old photos in the mix, I will disqualify the entry(s))
6b. No digital photo editing...no "photoshopping"!

Sound good?
Lets make this a contest to bring in the Summer.
What about June 1 for a contest close date?

Entry submissions no later than midnight Monday June 1.

Go ahead and post your entries in this thread.
Don't post any personal info...if you win, I'll get your name and address privately.

.........
Prize Pack for this Challenge includes*:

SR-71 Collectors Penny Coin from the USAF Museum
Set (4) PaperModelShop Stickers
KoolWheelz Scale Cube (if I can, I will send you a printed copy)
$5.00 Ecardmodels Cash Coupon

*may be subject to change.
Prize pack is mailed to you by regular Post.

Multiple separate entries.

Maybe I should set a limit though?
Otherwise some of you might enter way too many models?
Got to be fair to others.
How about I say maximum two separate entries per person.?

I will amend the Rules to reflect this.

previous...what? lol  multiple models? what?

build a model, take some photos, enter.
want to use an already built model? take new photos.
want to enter more than once? enter twice.

update... your last question confused me (Vermin).
So, I went through the rules again, and reworded a few things.
Hopefully all is clear.

...
Note to all participants...don't worry as much about build quality.
We can't all be expert builders.
And some of these KoolWheelz models are tricky to build.
Put your model in an interesting location, construct a diorama, take your photos in a more creative way.
I will ask that judging be based on the creativity, presentation and imagination of the photography,
rather than just judging the quality of the build.
Please...no photoshopping.

Can I replace the photos that I have sent in with newer ones before the deadline?

I'm not sure I understand...you haven't sent me any photos.
(you haven't posted any entry pics here either?)
pleez, 'splain loocy?

...
reminders to all:

Just go ahead and post your entries (according to the Rules) right here in this thread.

Rules updated...its all pretty simple and straightforward, but feel free to email me if you have questions.

Tentative deadline is the end of the month...thats still four weeks away.*

If there is enough interest (at least a dozen or so entries) I will consider adding more to the prizes.**

*if I see enough interest and activity, and there is a request for more time, I will consider extending the deadline.
Once again, it comes down to how many people want to take part in this.

** I have to consider packaging and shipping costs. Postage rates have gone through the roof.

Rule #2 answers your question.

Personally, I am more interested in the presentation...imaginative displays or imaginative photography.
I'm trying to get away from judging the skill and quality of build (which is difficult to do in a photograph)
and many people don't enter model contests because of their skill level.

I love to see KoolWheelz built at their intended scale, but thats not a rule of this challenge.
In fact, if someone built a lifesize KoolWheelz, I'm sure it would win the award for best!

hmmmmm...a lifesize KooolWheelz....
