Just an incredible design and build job.  Wonderful model.  And, if you are ever inclined to do the needle-nosed CL-41R, the Fall 2014 (Vol 52 No 3) edition of CAHS Journal has a full article and colour photos of a couple of colour scheme variations.  The Canada Aviation and Space Museum has CAHS back issues for 2 for $2 - I got a couple today and there are still a few left  ;D.

Keep up the great work.

John

Sorry, could not find the article on line - only know of the print version.  There were issues for purchase from the Museum bookstore:

John ...you can't tell me about me about something I should see
and then tell me its not available for me to see!
lol

Since these are old, out of print Museum mags, maybe they won't mind if you sent me a scan of the articles?
I'll contact them and ask.

Or, if they still have the issues in question can you get me a couple of issues and send them to me?

I could pay you for the postage or I can trade you for some models? or something?

I already knew this was legal...but I figured I would still make the effort to ask.

Mr Winfield,
The CASM library and archives does not hold copyright for the CAHS journal.
This said, there is no problem with your friend copying/scanning articles and sending them to you.
Copying can be made for personal use.
If you publish the articles somewhere else or on a webpage you will need to communicate with CAHS.

John, can you scan the journals?
Do you have a home scanner/printer/copier, etc
If so, can you send me copies?

Don't worry if its too much work.
I do this stuff regularly...scanning, copying, printing.
So, I know it can be time consuming.

Yep, shall do the scanning for you  :D. Have now left Ottawa, so will have to see if you still want the hard copy next time we are out that way.

John

Its time!   for a golden goose!

I will be working on publishing the next CL-41 Tutor in the next few minutes! yay

But first, just wanted to point out a small error in the Tutor model Instructions.

I have fixed the error, and updated future kits
as well as the Snowbirds kit in the store (since its the only published model so far).
Its not a huge error, but it might lead you to install a part upside down
if you haven't paid attention to any of the build photos.

Part 87 (right and left) are shown in the diagram upside down, with the skinny edge to the bottom.
It should go to the top, with the wider tab to the bottom.
As in this updated diagram (below)

Make a note on your Instruction pages...or a note next to the part...and pay attention to my photos of the finished model.

Thanks for the heads up. BTW just printed the kit, very nice and detailed. I'll start building sometime round 'annual global present giving tradition'

Readying the next Tutor kit for release...
this time its the CL-41G variant built for the Royal Mayasian Air Force.

This "ground attack" variant has:
- an improved Jet Engine (not visible in the paper model, lol)
- modified Landing Gear (the kit has wider Tires for soft ground operations)
- additional mounting points for underwing and fuselage armaments

I've included, in the kit, iron and fuel bombs.

Should be ready to go next week...first week of the New Year....happy New Year!

Well, I just started work n the next Tutor model...the Canadian Air Force version...
and yes, I still have to release the Tebuan (Malaysian AF) version!

I've also got a Mustang kit (Mustang Sally) ready to go.

But I got a bit sidetracked with a Boat.
Last week I was bored one evening...nothing on TV...and I decided to start a totally different build.
Been thinking about doing one of these for some time, but putting it off because its not a small project.
Since I finished the tebuan build...and hadn't started on the RCAF build...I had no paper builds on the go.
So, it took all my attention away from the computer, and the models I am currently designing.

For those of you waiting to see the Tebuan model, I promise to get it published asap.
Oh, and that Mustang too.

I have some new KoolWheelz models started too!...lol... no idea when I'll get back to those though!

Update...to keep you updated...

still working on things...including this RCAF Tutor!

Everything seems to be going well.
No major adjustments.
But it will take a while since I am doing a full assembly: cockpit, clear canopy, landing gear, speed brake details and optional fuel tanks.
