Mk V Centurion Tank (Paper Model) Updates
« on: January 09, 2016, 09:37:25 AM »
There have been a few minor updates made to the Centurion Paper Model kit since its release in 2014.
If you purchased a kit from me directly and have any concerns about fixes or updates, just drop me a line.

*If you purchased one of my Centurion kits through ecardmodels, you can easily acquire the latest version.
Just log in to your ecardmodels account, and re-download the model that you originally purchased.

Thanks to all who have spotted errors and helped me update the kits.
rest assured I will continue to update the kits if any other errors are found.

.....................................................
Recently, some text and part numbering errors have been found on the Assembly Instruction pages.
I have since fixed these errors and created a new set of instructions.

To be honest, these errrors might create some confusion, but were not found to be serious enough to cause a real problem during assembly.
Therefore, rather than updating and replacing every Centurion kit, I have created a new Instruction package that can be download easily.

It applies to all the Centurion kits.

Download this (free) Updated Assembly Instruction package at www.papermodelshop.com.
Look for it in the "Free Stuff"/"Extras" section.

Need to update this...

Doug (Rcav8tr2 ) has let me know whenever he sees a mistake or confusing element in the Centurion Instructions.

And Doug continues to pass along errata as he builds the model
...which is a good thing because my attention span seems to be slipping!.

I will continue to update the Instruction pages and upload new versions (to PaperModelShop) as per Doug's suggestions.
If you check back every so often, you can update your own files too.

Another update...missing parts in the Centurion kit!

Don't panic...not something integral to building the Tank itself!
But still a missing item.

The Tow Cables were one of those final surface details that I worked on at the end of construction (of the prototype).
Its an optional part, detailed in the Instructions...

but apparently I forgot to add the parts to the Parts Pages.

Its a small group of Parts...basically just the Connector Linkages and eyelets.
You have to sort out the twisted steel cables yourself.
Use some outside materials.
I used String spraypainted silver.

But you'll need these Parts to complete the Cables.

The Cable parts are the same for any of the Centurion kits,
so I have created a single Add-On page with the necessary Parts and related Assembly Diagrams.

Please, download it here:

It is also posted as an Update/Add-On at www.papermodelshop.com  (Extras page)
