Hello from Fenton, MO
« on: August 15, 2016, 05:57:53 AM »
I'm finishing a model pt boat for my grandson and the 48 star American flag is scaled incorrectly in the kit.
Are there any flag print outs posted to this site that are scale-able and available for download. Any help would be appreciated.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from Kansas City.  I think most of the flags are scale-able.  Which PT boat are you doing?

Welcome to the Paper Model Forum Doug!

I wish you were building a paper PT Boat...then we would have more talk about. lol
But thats okay.

Maybe you'll try paper instead of plastic.
Move away from the dark side.

Flags...
I have some Flag sheets on my website http://davesdesigns.ca/cutandfold
on the Free Models page.

There are two sheets of US Flags that you can download for free.

Prints are rescaleable...just adjust your printer output to enlarge or reduce to a specific percentage.
Easiest way to do this is print out the sheet on some cheap paper, at a low quality setting (saves ink).
Decide which flag you want to use...and measure it.
Determine the actual size you want it to be...and figure out the percentage reduction or enlargement needed.
Then reprint the sheet, on good paper/cardstock (at full quality) at the required scale percentage.

Have fun.
