Hello from Nigeria
« on: October 05, 2016, 05:52:49 PM »
I am highly pleased to join this another community of paper modelers.

My ideology of paper model work is targeted at children with a sole aim of using models to challenge their creativity potentials, promote curiosity and develop can-do-it spirit in them.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.  I am not the best at getting children to join in the building, but they do like to watch me build things.  They seem fascinated by a flat piece of paper turning into a three dimensional item.  And they always want to take it with them

Badru made an appearance at last years Intl. Paper Modelers Convention in Virginia.
Well...at least, one of his models did!

Unfortunately I did not attend in 2015, so I didn't see his display in person.

[Quote from Don Boose]
2015 IPMC Most Traveled Model Award went to Badru Akeem of Abeokuta, Nigeria, for his conceptual model of an Olympic Stadium for Egba, Nigeria.
We had very much looked forward to meeting Badru Akeem, but he was unable to attend due to last-minute visa issues.
However, we were able to display his fine and much-traveled model, as well as information on the media workshop he runs for young people.
