Using facebook for image storage/sharing
« on: July 01, 2017, 12:25:28 AM »
Anyone know what the limitations are for using facebook as a image host?
I'm talking mainly about linking images, sharing images on forums like this one?

If photobucket persists with their changes to free and basic accounts,
many of us will have to consider other options for storing and sharing images.
(I have hundreds...maybe thousands of images stored in my paid photobucket subscription.
It has been my primary source of linked/embedded images for more than ten years)

So, what about facebook?
I don't see any limits to uploads, storage space, etc.
They also accommodate larger high quality images, as well as smaller more manageable photos.

Like many, I already have a facebook account and already have photo albums there.
I can easily start uploading photos there with/or without photobucket.

Linking a photo and embedding it in a forum post seems easy enough too!
(as proved by the following image)

Any thoughts on this?
I'm just looking at options for if and when my photobucket account doesn't work anymore.

As I consider all things facebook as evil, I still hope that it works.  It would then have one single redeeming quality
There are no strangers in this world ...
Only people I haven't embarrassed ... yet
