Roket PVA Card Glue
« on: October 19, 2017, 08:52:39 AM »
This glue, which I have never seen before, was mentioned on the Paper Card Modeling Facebook Group.

Its a UK product...but is available on Amazon.com for US buyers.
Unfortunately it doesn't ship to Canada

...so I checked Amazon.ca and found one seller asking $74 a bottle! lol

Its a waterbased PVA type Glue...with a very thin milky consistency.
Much thinner than other PVAs or Craft glues, but it seems to spread and hold with the similar viscosity.
It also dries absolutely crystal clear, so its great for making windows.

It appears to bond very strongly and very quickly, like CA Glue.
It even comes in a smaller Bottle and uses those filament applicator nozzles (like CA Glues).
One report states that the applicator nozzles clog easily and need to be cleaned a lot.
But since this is a wtarebased product, cleanup shouldn't be too bad.

Anyway, the manufacturer has a website and promotional video explaining the glue.
https://www.deluxematerials.co.uk/en/scale-plastics/50-roket-card-glue-5060243900401.html

And on youtube, I found an independant review and demonstration of the Glue.

So...has anyone else tried this product?
Can you give us your opinion.

I'd also like to find an affordable outlet and try this glue myself.

Let us know what you think.

I've just seen this post when looking on the forum.
I use this glue when making card/paper models.

I cant remember where I saw it mentioned but decied to give it a try as the pva/uhu I was using took a while to grab & that was one of the plus points of this glue.
From experience if you hold the parts you are glueing for a couple of seconds thats all thats needed with the rocket pva glue.

The only in use downside is little time to make adjustments once the glue has been applied and the parts put togther.

Overall its my goto glue for paper/card model making. I even take the bottle out with me when my daughter goes to her craft club as its so much easier than the normal pva or glue sticks they use at the club.

It is a little expensive for quite a small bottle and yes the fine applicators do clog quite a lot but its also quite easy to clean with some warm water. (I have a few fine applicators but tend to put some on a bit of paper/card and apply it with small brushes/sticks)

If you want to try some I am happy to forward some to you.

Thanks for the offer...thanks for the review!

I got a full bottle sitting in front of me.
It was gifted to me.
JohnM, from papermodelers.com sent me it a couple of weeks back.
I haven't used it yet.
It looks promising.
I'll wait for a new fresh project in the New Year.
